Works great I travel with it everyday in my car to keep drinks cold and lunch and dinner food items good. There is just one thing I would love to know were I can get the battery for it that goes on the side of the cooler so I can have a back up power just in case.

Great purchase! We have been using it for the last seven months with no problems in performance. Actually used it for a couple of weeks when our home refrigerator went out. Set up did take more than three times but finally got it pared with my iPhone, that’s why four stars. One time last week in south Florida I had it in the back of my truck with a black retrax system closed, the sun beating down, outside temperature at 97 degrees and the cooler temperature maintained 45; under the circumstances I felt it did well.

Oh man this thing is awesome! I've had portable coolers before but this Bodega cooler is on a whole ‘nother level. It's portable, versatile, and packed with awesome features and accessories. It's by far my new favorite cooler and is now a permanent fixture in all of our food-related adventures. Here’s what I like and don’t like about this Bodega cooler:

*Size- I received the 37 qt model and in my opinion it's the perfect size. With the addition of the chiller and other components this thing is already heavier than a standard cooler even without anything in it. Adding a bunch of drinks/liquids can get it pretty heavy pretty fast, fortunately you don't have to worry about feeling it up with ice so that saves some weight. The size ended up being perfect. It's just small enough to be portable and manageable by myself but holds enough food for a weekend long adventure. I was worried that the dual compartments were going to limit the amount of food I could store in it but that hasn't been the case so far.

*Dual Sides- inside of the cooler is divided into two compartments one larger main compartment and a smaller freezer compartment that sits above the chiller components. The main portion goes all the way to the bottom of the cooler (there's even a drain plug on the bottom) but the smaller compartment is a bit shallower since it has the condenser underneath it. You have the ability to control the temperature of both compartments independently. The smaller compartment is designed to be the freezer section and it works great! I had ice cream in the small compartment and drinks in the main compartment for a week straight (plugged into the wall outlet power adapter) and everything was always the perfect temperature. The ability to have different foods at different temperatures is an awesome feature.

*Touch Controls - one side of the cooler has a small touch screen control panel that lets you cycle through different modes, see the power level (if running on battery) and set the temp of the 2 compartments independently.

*App Control- in addition to the touch screen you also have the ability to download an app that lets you control the cooler temp from your phone. I haven't used it as I didn't have a whole lot of need to change the temperature once it was set but it's a cool feature to have if the cooler is being stored somewhere and it's not as easy to access.

*Power Options- they covered all the bases with the power options on this thing. You can run it off of 12 -25v DC power using the included DC power cord, or you can use 120v AC power using the included wall plug adapter. There's even a compartment for purchasing a battery pack that plugs into the cooler itself though I haven't needed that because it runs just fine off of any portable power bank capable of producing 12 volt power (not exactly sure of the amperage requirements). I can keep it plugged in at the house keep it cool while we're getting everything ready and then plug it in to my vehicle once we're on the road. It really is super versatile.

*Portability - It has an extendable, foam-covered, padded handle that telescopes out and locks in place so you can easily move it around on the built in wheels (the wheels work great on most surfaces but not sand/soft surfaces. It's pretty heavy). When you need to carry it or lift it, the telescoping handle collapses and there's a fold down handle on the other side that you can use to pick it up. The handles feel sturdy and well-built and are in a comfortable position for lifting and carrying.

*Accessories - there are a bunch of cool little accessories on this thing that I absolutely love. It has built-in led lights on the interior of the cooler that come on as soon as you open the lid so you can see what's inside in the dark. One of the coolest features is a cutting board that clips into a recessed area of the lid for storage and then sits inside a recessed area of the top of the cooler so it doesn't slide around when you're trying to use it. There are also recessed areas in the lid for drinks and even a bottle opener built into the side.

*Quiet- The cooler is nice and quiet. I literally slept right next to it for a week straight and I'm a very light sleeper. You can definitely notice it turning on and off in a quiet room but it's not obtrusive.

* Value - this Bodega cooler is $300 at the time of this review and though that sounds pricey for a cooler, in my opinion it's a bargain for a portable fridge/freezer. Considering the build quality, the awesome cooling and freezing performance, and all the little accessories, I think this is a great value.

Purchased this for our 16 hr drive to Florida. The hotel we were staying at only has a beverage cooler, so needed something to keep dairy cold and items frozen. Food was kept cold and items in the freezer were frozen, loved having the separate areas. This doesn’t use much electricity and had it plugged into the 12v plug in the back of our van while traveling down and back. Also the app works great too. We will be using this a lot this year for camping as well!
